這一講我們來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)對(duì)文章標(biāo)題的選擇
在四級(jí)考試中,我們有時(shí)會(huì)遇到要我們選擇標(biāo)題的問(wèn)題,例如:
1. Which of the following is the best title for this passage?
2. The title of this passage would be ______.
3. The title that best expresses the main idea is ______.
4. What is the title of the passage?
5. Which of the following is the most appropriate title for the passage?
6. The passage could be entitled ______.

在回答這類問(wèn)題時(shí),我們要明確,標(biāo)題就好比一篇文章的 "路標(biāo)", 它為文章限定了一個(gè)范圍,更指引了一個(gè)方向. 有一個(gè)很重要的技巧可以利用,那就是---標(biāo)題總是和主題息息相關(guān),找到了主題,也就明確了標(biāo)題,所以我們可以分兩步走:一 先找主題句, 二 選句中的關(guān)鍵詞作為標(biāo)題. 同時(shí)我們還要牢記,標(biāo)題不僅表明主題,還要對(duì)全文有指向性的暗示.下面我們用這個(gè)技巧來(lái)看一篇文章.

第一步,找出文章的主題句, 很顯然就是第一句話.
第二步, 仔細(xì)分析一下,用什么樣的標(biāo)題合適呢?比如,我給出兩個(gè)選擇, 1.Music; 2.The Role of Music 哪一個(gè)更合適呢? 這里要注意,選擇標(biāo)題時(shí)要選擇最貼切的,也就是表述的更準(zhǔn)確的.第一個(gè)答案Music不是不可以,但太籠統(tǒng),沒(méi)有第二個(gè)準(zhǔn)確.再看一篇文章

Honeybees cannot live alone. Their body structure and instincts equipt them for life in a colony or community, where they have a complex social organization and the various duties are divided among the individual
according to physical fitness and age. An individual worker bee cannot reproduce itself. while it may continue to live if forcibly isolated from its mates, it fails to care for itself adequately, and soon dies. Efficiency, if not necessity, demands that the work of the colony be divided, and such labor tends to enhance the need to maintain the colony. The physical structure or the honeybee is further suited for the defense of the entire colony rather than for its own defense. The bee's barbed sting is used only once and is made more effective by the fact that t is left behind in the victim. With the loss of the sting, however, the bee dies. This kind of defensive weapon is not of service to the individual, but to the community.
