　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Dot是“點(diǎn)”的意思，on the dot字面意思就是“壓著點(diǎn)的”，也就是“準(zhǔn)時(shí)的，剛好在時(shí)間到的時(shí)候來的，不早也不晚的”。這個(gè)短語很實(shí)用，例如：約會(huì)，商務(wù)會(huì)議，確定日程等。

　　e.g. She was told to arrive at 8 o’clock on the dot.

　　她被告知八點(diǎn)鐘準(zhǔn)時(shí)到達(dá)。

　　e.g. She was very angry that he did not arrive on the dot; he had promised to.

　　They hold a party in celebration of their victory.

　　他們舉行晚會(huì)以慶祝勝利。
