　　To tackle (處理)these problems, all aspects of the city should make concerted efforts (齊心協(xié)力). Authorities should take actions to tighten controls on parking of bikes, devise systems to penalize offenders and develop standards (制定標(biāo)準(zhǔn))on maintenance and bicycle life spans.

Besides, a lack of trust is detrimental to personal relationships since “ Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundation principle that holds all relationships.” Last but not least, people’s loss of trust in the government could intensify social contradictions (加劇社會矛盾).

　　Therefore, it is high time that (正是......的時候)we called on all sides to deal with the trust crisis. For one thing, the government should make great efforts to promote a credibility system. For another, the mass media should also play a positive role in restoring mutual trust among people.

　　因此，現(xiàn)在匯聚各方力量應(yīng)對信任危機正當(dāng)其時。一方面，政府應(yīng)當(dāng)著力推薦誠信體系建設(shè)。另一方面，大眾媒體也應(yīng)該在恢復(fù)人與人之間的相互信任方面發(fā)揮積極作用。

　　People tend to believe that experts are more professional, that prestigious experts can always make faster and better diagnosis and treatment.

　　In the set of picture above, suspecting (懷疑)the vegetables for sale aren’t green food, a woman turns her back on the seller; doubting the credibility of advice from a self-claimed expert dressed as a doctor, an old man turns away; a young man casts doubt on (懷疑)an officer who takes an oath of integrity. The underlying meaning of the drawings can be elaborated in terms of loss of trust among people.

　　There was a time when doors were left unlocked at night and no one pocketed anything found on the road. However, with the development of the society, people increasingly distrust each other. For example, fearing to be mistaken for offenders, few people would offer assistance to the aged people who fall down on the street because of seizures (突然發(fā)作)or injury. This crisis of trust in our society will bring many unfavorable consequences. First and foremost, people will be deprived of much fun since they become overcautious and feel insecure all the time.
